Organization Function and Role

a.       Founding Members

 

1)      The founders of SR Asia are the former participants of ISO 26000 Seminar in 2011 in Taipei, who have contributed to SR Asia’s organization establishment.

2)      SR Asia recognizes both the name of person and institution.

a)      Dr. Leow Chee Seng – Fireball Corporation, Malaysia

b)      Dr. Semerdanta Pusaka – Aicon Global Indonesia, Indonesia

c)       Mr. Birendra D. Raturi, M.Sc. – Qsys esolutions Pvt Ltd

3)      Founders’ meeting must be carried out in the Head Quarter (India) or a Regional Office at least once every three year

4)      No founding members can be added

5)      Role:

a)      Select, appoint and terminate the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board & Secretary General

b)      Design, modify & approve the strategy / road map for SR Asia

c)       Review the challenges & opportunities of SR Asia

 

b.      Supervisory Board

 

1)      Selected by the founding members to supervise SR Asia for a three-year period.

2)      Three members, one of which is selected as the Supervisory Director.

3)      The member of board can be selected from the founders or non-founders.

4)      Role:

a)      Supervise & investigate any ethical breach of all members, including the Directors and Secretary General.

b)      Suggest termination of cooperation with an advisor or party due to a criminal case, ethical breach, or conflict of interest.

 

c.       Board of Directors

 

1)      Selected by the founding members to govern SR Asia for a three-year period.

2)      Five Directors, one of which is selected as the President Director.

3)      The member of board can be selected from the founders or non-founders.

4)      Role:

a)      Develop & appoint the team / work force.

b)      Govern SR Asia, create networking.

c)       Develop strategy / road map into detail strategic planning for implementation.

 

d.      Secretary General

 

1)      Selected by the founding members to manage SR Asia for a three-year period

2)      Can be selected from the founders or non-founders

3)      Role:

a)      Manage SR Asia

 

e.      Advisors

 

1)      SR Asia Board can appoint or cooperate with experts or individuals from sustainability-related institutions, i.e. APO, NPO, GRI, ISO, ILO, Amnesty International, UN Global Compact, the ministers from HQ and ROs’ home countries as the Advisors.

2)      Stages to appoint an advisor;

a)      One of Founding Members, Board of Directors, Secretary General, or Regional Directors can propose a name to become an advisor of SR Asia.

b)      The personal data of candidate will be shared among the individuals in SR Asia.

c)       Founding Members receive feedbacks from others.

d)      Founding Members discuss the feedbacks and make decision.

e)      Founding Members approach the candidate and ask him/her to be the advisor of SR Asia.

f)       Founding Member formally appoint the candidate (if agreed), release Letter of Appointment and post at the SR Asia’s website.
